Description of Stamping Process
Stamping is the process of placing flat sheet metal in either blank or coil form into a stamping press where a tool and die surface forms the metal into a net shape. Stamping includes a variety of sheet-metal manufacturing processes, such as punching using a machine press or stamping press, blanking, embossing, bending, flanging, and coining.
Stamping could be a single stage operation where every stroke of the press produces the desired form on the sheet metal part, or could occur through a series of stages. Progressive dies are commonly fed from a coil of steel, from coil reel to a straightener to level the coil, and then into a feeder which advances the material into the press and die(s) at a predetermined feed length.
Depending on part complexity, the number of stations in the die can be varied.
Stamping is usually done on cold metal sheets, whereas for progressive stamping, coil steel is used.
For product development, the forming die is often developed first, using laser cutting instead of blanking for trial runs, once the final product meets the expectation, the blanking dies are developed.
In stamping, the stamping parts can become the final product after surface treatment, mostly however, it is only used as a functional component for product assembly.
The normal surface treatment processes for stamping parts include electrophoresis (KTL), powder coating, painting, and zinc plating. For all surface treatment, we offer coating adhesion, thickness, and salt fog tests or, other tests to be conducted upon request. Anodizing is available for aluminum materials.

Material certificates include the mill certificate, 3rd party chemical components, and mechanical property reports, as well as RoHS and REACH reports upon request. Other reports include dimensional reports, surface treatment thickness, and salt fog test reports, etc. We structure our processes, creating Flow Charts and Control Plans before production, making sure all QC processes are in accordance with ISO9001-2015 requirements and drawing specifications.
